However, there is another way to increase it – you are welcome to get more trucks! This way, you will surely increase your income. You can improve your existing vehicle to ride faster, better, and safer. Then you gain even more cash and there are several options for you after that. So, you buy yourself a truck and have a chance to do your job having your own auto. When you have enough cash, you are ready to start your independent activity and the most interesting part of the game starts right at this moment. As a result, the money you gain can be used to buy a personal truck. The company you work for will pay you money for completed tasks. Once you start a game, you don’t own a truck but have one for rent. The task is to ride a truck across the Europe, bringing the goods from one place to another on time. You act as a truck driver, starting your career as a hired worker. Those fans, who have already played all the existing parts, know the main concept of the game.
SCS also say the 1.42 will bring an update to their Force Feedback profiles for steering wheels and controllers, with an additional mention specifically for Linux to say "Force feedback improved and available for more controller types on more systems". Not always possible though, if people use mods not on Steam. An option to join servers with mods you don't have will also now be able to give you the option to download them, as long as they are on the Steam Workshop.
Thanks to their work there's a new UI to help with mod support with the session browser showing what mods a server needs and there's an icon for servers in the list to show what has mods and what doesn't. Speaking on their blog they mentioned the challenge of "profile recovery when a crucial MOD is removed or changed, and visualizing what MODs are missing from the Steam Workshop when players join a server that contains modifications". Not an easy task since everything needs to match between players and online support is difficult at the best of times for developers to get right. Now available in Open Beta for owners is the 1.42 update, which adds it the "very loud request" of mod support to Convoy. SCS Software have begun expanding what's possible with the newly introduced Convoy Mode multiplayer in both their truck sims Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator.
